Every tutor is DBS checked. Sessions can run in term-time, holidays or as intensives in the run up to exams.

Katie
Since graduating from Magdalene College, Cambridge in 2015, Katie has worked continuously in education teaching English and designing the curriculum for the National Citizen Service programmes. Katie oversees operations at Wimbledon Tutors having been deputy head of English at a school in Battersea.

Sara
Sara graduated from Cambridge University in 2005 and has since enjoyed a successful career in education, working as an examiner, curriculum writer, teacher and private tutor. Having previously taught at Highgate, she is currently teaching at another top independent school in North West London.

Jack graduated from Durham University with BA (hons) in English in 2018. After obtaining his PGCE, he went on to achieve an MSc in English Education from Oxford University. Having taught at Harrow School and KCS Wimbledon, Jack is now tutoring mainly online with WT following his move to The Scots College, Sydney.

Currently teaching at Surbiton High, Nottingham University graduate Olivia has five years of experience as an English teacher. She has taught in both the state and private sector, and her personalised tutoring approach has contributed to outstanding results at A level and GCSE. As an A level Examiner for Pearson's Edexcel English, Olivia remains deeply involved with curriculum standards.

Cameron
Currently teaching at King’s College School Wimbledon, Durham University graduate Cameron is a fantastic teacher and tutor of English. He has experience tutoring students at all ages, including 7+, 11+, KS3, GCSE, IB and A-Level and has also worked as an A Level examiner. Committed to continued professional development, Cameron is currently studying for a Masters degree in English Literature at UCL.

Lily graduated from UCL in 2026 with a Master’s in Literature: Issues in Modern Culture, and has a BA from Smith College in English (creative writing emphasis), and Music. She is the current Rossetti Scholar (English) at King’s College School, and has vast experience tutoring both online and in-person from year 8, through GCSE, IB and A-Level.

Our tutors have a wealth of experience teaching a variety of exam boards, including Edexcel, OCR, AQA, and the IB!

Most students see noticeable improvement within 4–8 weeks, particularly in accuracy, fluency and confidence in speaking and writing.

Rearrangement and cancellation policy is flexible and agreed between you and your tutor following the first lesson. We recommend 12 hours notice to rearrange a lesson and 24 hours notice to cancel.

Although we are primarily based in Wimbledon, we have tutors across the UK who can provide in-person or remote tutoring.
